Fresh Ginger Tea

Fresh Ginger Tea

2 qts filtered water
½ c fresh sliced ginger root
sweetener of choice


Boil 1 quart of water. Add about one half cup of thinly sliced fresh ginger root and simmer for a few hours. The more ginger the better and stronger it is. Strain your ginger tea when it’s cool enough through a cheese cloth until clear. Sweeten to taste with your desired sweetener (brown sugar works excellent). Add 1 quart of cold water and store in the fridge. Can be drunk hot or cold.
